Designing Your Own Garden Easily…
As a professional garden designer I often have customers tell me how difficult it is for them to ‘do something’ nice with their garden…
Not true at all.
Designing your own garden isn’t anywhere near as difficult as you may think if you know a few simple things.
Top 3 Design Your Garden Tips
- The first thing is not to get seduced into buying lots of plants and features as these won’t give your garden the ‘wow factor’ you think they will. Plants and features, although lovely to look at and fun to shop for are the finishing touch, the icing on the cake.
- View your garden as a whole object rather than a series of parts. This will get you to take everything into account rather than just ‘doing’ a corner of the garden and wonder why it isn’t working very well.
- Measure your garden and put it on paper before you work on it. Boring? Well ok, a little, but it is vital to success. Imagine trying to buy a pair of trousers if you had no idea what size you took and weren’t able to try them on in the shop.
